Terms of Service
Effective 7 July 2026 · SublimeKeys is a service operated by Sublimearts.io
This is a plain-language draft covering the terms that actually matter for how SublimeKeys works today. It is not a substitute for legal advice tailored to your jurisdiction — if you're relying on this at meaningful commercial scale, have it reviewed by a lawyer.
01. WHAT SUBLIMEKEYS IS
SublimeKeys ("we", "us") provides an API and dashboard for developers ("you", "the developer") to generate, activate, verify and manage software license keys for your own applications, plus optional hosted webhook delivery to your end customers. You use SublimeKeys to run licensing for software you sell to your own customers — we are your infrastructure, not your storefront.
02. ACCOUNTS
You need a valid email address to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your API key confidential — anyone who has it can act on your account. If you believe your key has been exposed, rotate it immediately from the dashboard.
03. PLANS & BILLING
Free, Pro and Business plans are described on the pricing page. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe. You can view your renewal date, switch plans, or cancel at any time from Billing → Manage Subscription — this opens Stripe's own secure portal.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; we don't offer partial refunds for unused time.
04. WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DOWNGRADE OR CANCEL
We never delete, suspend, or revoke a product or license key you already created, for any reason related to your plan or subscription status.
If you're over your new plan's limits after downgrading, you simply can't create new products or keys until you either upgrade again or your usage naturally falls under the limit. Everything that already exists — for you and for every customer who already bought a key from you — keeps working exactly as before, indefinitely.
05. ACCEPTABLE USE
Don't use SublimeKeys to issue keys for software that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or exists to facilitate fraud or abuse. Don't attempt to circumvent rate limits, scrape other accounts' data, or use the hosted webhook endpoint for anything other than genuine payment events from your own sales. We may suspend accounts that clearly violate this, with notice where practical.
06. YOUR CUSTOMERS' DATA
When you use SublimeKeys to issue or deliver keys, we process the email addresses and license data of your own end customers on your behalf, strictly to provide the service (key delivery, sale notifications). You remain responsible for your own privacy obligations toward your customers. We never sell or use your customers' data for anything beyond operating SublimeKeys.
07. AVAILABILITY & LIABILITY
We work to keep the API reliably available but provide the service "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to SublimeKeys is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost revenue from your own sales.
08. TERMINATION
You can stop using SublimeKeys at any time by canceling your subscription and, if you wish, deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts for clear violations of Section 5, with notice and an opportunity to respond where practical.
09. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email to active account holders before taking effect.
10. GOVERNING LAW & CONTACT
These terms are governed by Italian law. Questions? Reach us at hello@sublimearts.io. See also our Privacy Policy.
